Ninja Gym Liverpool: The Story Behind HC:FIT

HC:FIT began with a simple frustration. Henry Cookey, a Ninja Warrior UK semi-finalist and former international Taekwondo competitor, could not find a ninja gym Liverpool actually deserved, so he built one himself. What started as a handful of obstacles in a small unit is now the only dedicated ninja obstacle facility in the city.

Q: What makes this ninja gym in Liverpool different?

Most gyms are built around machines. Ours is built around movement: every rig, wall and bar exists so you can climb, swing and problem-solve your way through a session, and people genuinely cheer each other on.

Q: Who trains at your ninja gym in Liverpool?

Our members range from four-year-olds in Little Ninjas to adults in their sixties, from competition regulars to people who just wanted a workout that does not feel like a chore. Every class is led by a coach who scales the obstacles to you.

Q: What is your coaching approach?

We progress people rather than throw them in. A first session is about finding your level, then obstacles get harder in small, deliberate steps that build real strength and fitness over time.

Q: Is HC:FIT more than just a ninja gym?

Yes. The building also hosts birthday parties, stag and hen groups, corporate team days and school visits, alongside adult ninja classes and calisthenics for members who want to mix things up.

Q: Where is your ninja gym in Liverpool based?

The best way to understand HC:FIT is to walk in. Book a free visit, have a look around the rig, and talk to a coach with no pressure and no sales pitch.
